March 14 is Pi Day!
Because March is the third month of the year, you can write the date as 3-14 the same numbers in Pi.
Pi (π) is a special number that helps us understand circles — like pancakes! If you measure all the way around a pancake (the circumference) and divide it by the distance across the middle (the diameter), you’ll always get the same number — about 3.14. But pi isn’t just 3.14 — it goes on forever without repeating! Engineers use pi to design round things like wheels and bridges, and scientists use it to study planets and orbits. Even bakers use pi when making perfectly round cakes and pies. Pi helps us understand how circles work, whether it’s a planet or a pancake.
